About Me, Gary Fisher
My Illustration career started in 1991 when I was first published by News Group Newspapers; this was the first time I’d ever sent Illustrations to an editor. Shortly followed by publication in Anglers Mail Magazine. Since then I have sold many commissioned Cartoons/Caricatures/Illustrations and given many as presents to friends, relations and colleagues.
I’ve trodden a few paths in my working life, having worked as a Painter & Decorator, a Graphic Designer, an SSA in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), a Decorating Lecturer in a High School, as a Young Peoples Sexual Health Outreach, as an Adult Sexual Health Outreach and I've spent a little time at B&Q. I'm currently employed by a High School in a Caseworker/Safeguarding role.
In the role of Young Peoples Sexual Health Outreach my Illustrations have been used to educate young people on various topics related to Sex & Relationship Education. My drawing skills have been invaluable and utilised with various SEN Young people who have cognitive difficulties.
I can produce cartoons, illustrations and designs using digital or traditional techniques, I'm proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate and good old traditional media.
